7. "Back to the Future: Part II" (1989) - While helping Doctor Emmett Brown save his family in 2015, teenager Marty McFly causes an alternate timeline, forcing him and the good doctor to travel back to 1955 to repair the timeline. Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd starred.
8. "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" (1988) - Robert Zemeckis directed this combination of live action and animation about a 1947 Los Angeles gumshoe who tries to help an animated rabbit and cartoon star be absolved of murder charges. Bob Hoskins, Christopher Lloyd, Joanna Cassidy and the voices of Charles Fleischer and Kathleen Turner starred.
9. "Back to the Future" (1985) - Robert Zemeckis directed this time travel tale about a California teenager, who travels back in time in a DeLorean and nearly disrupts his parents' romance in 1955. Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd starred.
10. Who can say Star Wars didn't suck them in, I was hooked from the first one on. I watched every single one so many times I lost count. Older films hold an elegance that newer movies don't have. Actors and actresses were held to a higher standard simply by the fact that they did not have modern technology doing a lot of the work for them. I was frustrated that there was not a lot of places to get older films without having to purchase on eBay or something and I don't always want to do that. Someone I work with at Dish Network was talking about all the new perks to having Blockbuster under Dish's wing and I'm pretty happy about it. Getting a hold of old films to watch should no longer be a problem. No due dates or late fees kiosks are available it's pretty cool stuff. I am still waiting for someone to make another trilogy. I was pretty happy with Lord of the Rings, in fact I bought it as I did the original Star Wars. Hopefully soon here we will see some great films. http://bit.ly/kW4mgt
There are good old movies and there are bad ones. There are good new movies and there are bad ones.
I don't view old Hollywood movies as superior to the newers. I've seen too many mediocre, bad or overrated "classic" films to harbor that view.
